Rejuvenating and lightening products for the skin can be expensive. There are great ways, however, to brighten and help even out your skin naturally. Try these out for size to brighten and refresh your skin at home.
Exfoliate the skin first to rid the skin of dry, dead skin cells.
Use a mix of organic sugar, brown sugar, oatmeal and coconut oil to rejuvenate and slough off dead skin. A scrub made of one teaspoon of coconut oil and one teaspoon of coffee grinds will invigorate and bring life to dull skin.
Drink Green Tea
Green tea has is full of antioxidants that bring about a plethora of health and wellness benefits, but it is also great for the skin. Green tea helps to lighten dark spots, age spots and liver spots and also reawaken the skin. Apply some cooled tea bags under the eyes to fight puffy, tired eyes and dark circles and to any other areas of the skin with dark spots or skin ailments.
Eat Vitamin C
This will naturally detoxifies, brightens, and plumps up the skin. It also acts as a protection to the skin against the environment, fighting off toxins from the environment and offering anti-aging defense, including protection against sun damage. Vitamin C elixirs are very affordable and easily available in health food stores.
Drink Lemon Juice
Cut and juice a lemon, or rub a cut lemon directly on problem areas. Zone in on dark spots not just on the face, but on arms, elbows, legs, ankles and knees to soften your entire body.
Remember to keep your body hydrated as well, drinking at least eight glasses of water per day to hydrate and brighten your skin from the inside out.
