.) A berry colored lip. It’s hard to go wrong with a fun, berry shade lip after summer rolls away; these shades are versatile and works matte or with high shine. Try a a warm-based raspberry color, or if you are cool toned, a more plummy shade. Dab a lighter, shimmery lip shade to the center of your bottom lip for added dimension.
.) Neutral, brown-based smokey eyes. Emphasize those doe eyes with some warm neutrals. Skip the straight black eyeshadow and create a smokey eye that works for day using taupes, light browns, espresso-shades.
.) For the more daring, a wine-colored lip. This is something to try if you’re more experimental and are used to wearing bold lips! Grape and purple colored lipsticks have not always been a popular shade, but it’s slowly making its own place besides your traditional reds and pinks!
.) Copper eyeshadow. A beautiful shade to use to transition from the summer to fall! These shades pack a nice bit of shimmer, but be careful not to use something with too much fall out or glitter! Keep it neutral and warm and layer with a gorgeous coat of mascara!
.) Sport a strong brow. Full eyebrows look gorgeous, frames your face beautifully, and makes you look more youthful. Be sure not to over-tweeze! Let those gorgeous brows grow out for a bit, brush your brows upwards, trim, and then fill & shape your brows with a eyeshadow or pencil that matches your hair color! Note: Keep those eyes simple!
.) Subtle pop of color for eyes! You can get away with really colorful eyeshadows during the summer, but when it starts to get cold, you want to start edging towards more neutral shades. That isn’t to say that you can’t still play with color! Experiment with more warm tones, like peaches, coppers, etc.
.) Flushed cheeks and simple lip. Not everyone is comfortable with bright lip colors, and it’s okay! Go with a simple light pink or nude shade for the lips, keep the eye makeup minimal, and emphasize your rosy cheeks! It’s hard to get away with too much color on the cheeks during the heat of the summer anyway, so blush is a great way to welcome the chillier months and showcase those cold-bitten cheeks!
.) Ombre lips. There’s a reason ombre has been such a popular trend. It allows you to be creative with shades and it can apply to anything! If you thought ombre lips were too gimmicky to wear during the sweltering summer heat, fall is a good time to try something this playful! You can try it with softer shades like red and pink, or for a more dramatic effect go with dark plums. Try it top-to-bottom or from the center out.
