Yeah, yeah, yeah. Food is incredible. If you eat the right stuff you can have beautiful skin and hair and live a long, prosperous life. Yes, that’s all true. But what can food do for the outside of your body? It has to have more benefits than just being edible, right? Well, it does! Here are a few to get you started:
It Bleaches Your Hair
With summer not too far off, you may be starting to think about lightening up your locks. The answer is no further away than your afternoon cup of tea. The chamomile flower has inherent bleaching capabilities, so you may as well use them to your advantage. Next time you take a shower, have a cup of chamomile in tow. Pour it on your hair and let it soak for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off. You can repeat this up to six times depending on how light you want to go.
It Refreshes Your Skin
Maybe you drink coffee, and maybe you don’t, but no matter what, you should keep some grounds on hand. All you have to do is mix some ground coffee with your body wash (or conditioner) and you have yourself a perfect body scrub. It invigorates your skin, exfoliates, and some experts believe the caffeine may even help stave away cellulite.
It Provides All-day Lip Color
If you think Kool-Aid is just for kids you are sorely mistaken. It is actually the perfect way to make your lips stay red (or pink) through all of the day’s events. And it’s really easy to use. Just pour the powder into a bowl and wet the end of a cotton swab. Dip the swab in the powder and rub on your lip. Wallah! That’s it. Just make sure you don’t let it touch your fingers in the process, because it will stain them too.
