If you admired Judy Garland’s glittery red ruby slippers in the 1939 Wizard of Oz film, then you are in for a real treat this fall. The new style trends for women’s footwear include glitter bomb shoes that are hot little numbers, catching any light and making every entrance just a little more magical. Saint Laurent showed off a striking bedazzled calf-high slouchy boot on the runway for fall 2017, while Mary Katrantzou flaunted a Victorian-style chunky heel covered in silver glitter.
Boots are certainly a fall trend that many girls can’t wait to pull out and start strutting. They work perfectly with skinny jeans, skirts, dresses and really just about anything. From booties to thigh-highs, this season you will see a lot of boots for girls who look like they are bringing the fight with them. Combat boots are hot and these heavy styles From Alexander Wang to Dior, designers were showing off a black urban combat boot on the runway that added a daring twist to their fall lines.
Get a little saucy with shoes to match your daring attitude about style. Red shoes are in for the 2017 Fall season and you won’t want to miss the ship. Adam Lippes paired a high-heeled red slouch boot with an all off-white outfit of mixed textures. Altuzarra featured both a red combat-style boot and lace-up high heeled boot with a vintage twist. Fendi’s choice in red footwear was a thigh-high boot with high heels and a semi-shine finish for a dramatic look paired with a blue and white leaf-print dress.
Satin and Silk
A beautiful mix of textures will be featured on many shoes for this fall. The silky blue paired with matte black in Oscar de la Renta’s shoes is just one example of stunning textures making up the shoe design. Guicci and Prada shoes also featured satin fabrics in their heels for the fall runway. The delicious red satin mid-heeled booties from Phillip Lim are one of the shoes we saw for fall that just seems perfect in every way.
Boots that have a slouchy top have long been a fall and winter favorite. This season, prepare to see a lot of it.
