Spring is almost here, which means temperatures are on their way up, days are getting longer and it is once again time to get active and have fun outdoors. Before spring or summer gets here though, you need to ensure your wardrobe is ready. Below, you will learn what you can expect in men’s fashion this upcoming spring and summer, according to Fashionbeans:
Checkered patterns are on point this spring and summer in menswear with one caveat. Don’t go overboard. You don’t want bystanders falling over because you have checkered patterns going on from head-to-toe. Instead, choose one part of your outfit to focus on, it can be trousers, outerwear or a shirt. Just make sure whatever you pair with the checked pattern is toned down and solid in color.
Think Hawaii, easy going, laid back for an idea on this look. Louis Vuitton featured tropical patterns in his Paris show. Just like checkered patterns, go easy on this trend. Pair only with solids or toned down in nature. Less is most certainly more.
Loose Fitting Jeans
If you were a huge fan of super skinny jeans, you will be disappointed to learn that more relaxed denim styles are on their way back this spring and summer in menswear. However, if you are like most men who crave your ability to breath and sit comfortably, you will be happily welcome this change. Think comfortable and loose to perfect this denim style.
Vertical stripes made their appearance all over the global fashion scene this year. The best looking specimens featured narrow, straight lines that were displayed down t-shirts or button down dress shirts. As with the other patterns mentioned above, aim to keep vertical stripes to one piece of your wardrobe at once. Don’t double stripe!
To explain this look, think of all pieces of your outfit being the same color in slightly differing tones. You can use this same method to create a formal look or a casual one. The idea is to ensure all piece coordinate well with each other, by being the same color, though not the exact same tone or shade.
Summer is right around the corner, so get your wardrobe ready by incorporating the above fashion trends. Choose to try them all or even one to up your style game this spring and summer.
