1. Work It Out
The CDC reports that less than 24% of children get an hour of physical activity daily. What’s worse: that percentage doesn’t get better as kids get older. Less than 5% of adults get 30 minutes of daily physical activity, and only about 1 in 3 get the 2.5 hours of the recommended weekly activity. While playing with a doll dressed in workout gear may seem like another sedentary activity, there’s something Barbie can teach little kids (and big kids, too!) about recharging through physical movement.
